Currently it is not possible to add Linked Issues in the customer portal.
When adding the field in the request type field, the Show button will be greyed out, it says "This field type can't be shown in the customer portal".

As a Service Desk administrator, I would like to configure the visibility of linked issues to appear in the Customer Portal as it is helpful in some user cases.

          Form Name

[JSDSERVER-4636] View linked issue in the Customer Portal

Useful and improve on user experience, please consider +1.

I thought I had found a workaround for this, by creating an automation that adds a comment with the linked issue when it gets linked. This creates a publicly visible record etc. and for me, that shows up as a hyperlink. howver for seemingly everyone else, they get a rendered version that is just plain text of the issue id. Even though I see that the hyperlink is in the comment field of the payload returned to the browser, for some reason I am yet to fathom, other people get the rawComment content which does not have the hyperlink in it.

If I could figure out how to ensure the link actually rendered as a link to people other than me, then the automation would work around this problem just fine.

We could really use this feature.  We have a project where users need to refer to other jiras and brainstorms.  Not having the links available is making the process difficult and causing the team to rethink the use of JSM.  Please reconsider implementing this.

This is an important feature for customers who make requests that operate on a longer timeline and involve teams outside outside of the Service Desk team. For example, new feature requests that then have to be handed off to the dev team.

This one of the biggest hurdle not able to see linked issue for someone  migrating from Jira Software to JSM.
