Atlassian May 5th update
We're looking for users to test our prototype of comments section improvement before release. If you can book 15 mins with our PM (https://calendly.com/yjiang-3/15min) or our designer (https://calendly.com/jiradesign/interview-15-minutes) in the next week or so that would be greatly appreciated!
Atlassian update on April 29th
We're working on incremental changes of the "comment" section to make it behave like the old issue view - i.e. newest/latest 5 comments will always be visible and oldest comments will always be collapsed. Thank you for your patience, and apology for the frustration this has caused.
How the shipped solution CURRENTLY works.... April 12th update
, the comment will display in the following manner. When user try to add a new comment, the comment box will move up right on top of the "latest comment" so you can see the latest comment as you type in new ones.
[Comment 1] (newest/latest comment)
(click to see 100 older comments)
, the comment will display in the following manner
[comment 1] (oldest comment)
[comment 5](5th oldest comment)
(click here to see 100 newer comment)
- "newest first" will be the default, If a user never selected a preference on the sort order.
- To see the latest "batch" of comments, please select "newest first". In this view, you'll read your latest/newest 5 comment "top-down". This is a bit different behaviour than in the "old view" - where you'll select "oldest first" and read the latest/newest 5 comment "bottom-up"
