When trying to install SourceTree 20.0.20.1, in third step "Atlassian account", on log in screen, I'm getting "Oops, you've made a malformed request." message. Don't know what happend. It seems, that my account is working, althrough I've never get "e-mail verification" e-mail, but I did get "reset password" e mail. I've tried on to mails, pisakpisze@gmail.com and malec.krzysztof.work@gmail.com , same issue. I've tried to check in Windows Firewall, nothing there. I can't use "Log in with Google" button, nothing happend when pressed. Tried to use random account name, getting same message. I've event tried to delete cookies, uninstall browser extensions(Google Chrome), tried to use different-older SourceTree (1.9.6.0 and some older one, don't remember), same issue.

Don't have firewall, anti-virus software etc. I can't even attach file in png and bmp formats!

For the life of me I can not get SourceTree to install.  I'm redirected to my browser (Chrome) by the SourceTree installer, then enter my Atlassian email and password.  I KNOW my account credentials are good.  The Bitbucket response in my browser is "Incorrect email address and / or password".

Can't believe it is this difficult.  I'm going to use another git client.

            SourceTreeSetup-3.3.8 on Windows 10.

I'm trying to install SourceTree 3.0.8, have logged into Bitbucket, and Sourcetree does not recognize that the login was successful. I have twiddled my IE settings and copied over the accounts.json file from a working installation (the installation does not have any kind of password file), still no luck. I am trying to convince the end users to go with Visual Studio Code instead, so maybe that will be a sufficient workaround.

john.jijo Under the covers Atlassian account and Bitbucket accounts are the same thing. At most the process might take the new Bitbucket user through a step to create a basic username for bitbucket.

Does this mean everyone should have Bitbucket.org accounts created for installing sourceTree?

The Atlassian account + IE registration process is replaced by a Bitbucket.org + OAuth approach using the current default browser.

            Hi

Sourcetree 3.0.0 is currently going through beta testing. This adds support for registration via bitbucket.org + OAuth. As such it should work with your default browser and remove the dependency on IE.

            see https://bitbucket.org/atlassianlabs/sourcetree-betas/downloads/

            Yea!!!

            Happy Anniversary!   ... belated. (Sorry)

Seriously, this is ridiculous. Can't even install the software.

It's for free, I know, but that puts Atlassian in quite a bad light for me.

Yea, Win10 is a bitch. Cost me 30 min. of my life to prevent WinX to automatically install an older nvidia driver and remove the much newer one which I just installed.

And yes, also my beloved Opera is blocking the complete Internet access of Windows 10 if it is installed.

But why is Source Tree (2.6.10) doing the same???
