    • We collect Jira Service Desk feedback from various sources, and we evaluate what we've collected when planning our product roadmap. To understand how this piece of feedback will be reviewed, see our Implementation of New Features Policy.

NOTE: This suggestion is for JIRA Service Desk Server. Using JIRA Service Desk Cloud? See the corresponding suggestion.

As an administrator I would like the ability to clone or copy an entire JIRA Service Desk project, including the Service Desk configuration.

[JSDSERVER-5649] Ability to clone or copy Service Desk project

I discovered that this can (partially) be achieved by using ScriptRunner (See "Browse Scripts / Project / Copy Project")

The copied project is far away from perfect (e.g.: the query in each queue will still have the "old" project key which needs to be removed manually - but hey, it's a "copy"...) Nevertheless it's still quite a time-saver if you have a LOT of queues to be re-used in another project. (Adjusting the query is annoying, but still less time consuming than creating each queue over and over again...)

Some parts of the project will not be copied anyway, e.g. Automations. (This is something that seems to be achievable with "Project Configurator" from the same vendor, but it lacks the "copy" function... but it seems to come in handy if you want to "move" a project with it's configuration between instances., e.g. staging->live.)

That being said, I'm also still impatiently waiting for the "builtin copy JSD project (configuration)" functionality...

Looking at the duplicate history, this request has been active for over 5 years with a 120+ cumulative votes. The Cloud equivalent is more recent, has less votes, and yet has somehow already been completed.  https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JSDCLOUD-4082

Meanwhile this ticket is still marked as "Gathering Interest".  Are there any plans on implementing this at all?

            This would be very helpful.

Especially when having to set up queues (with custom fields like specific SLA customfields) that should be available to all projects.

            Any ETA on this?

            Looking forward.

            Thank you.
