    • We collect Jira Service Desk feedback from various sources, and we evaluate what we've collected when planning our product roadmap. To understand how this piece of feedback will be reviewed, see our Implementation of New Features Policy.

NOTE: This suggestion is for JIRA Service Desk Server. Using JIRA Service Desk Cloud? See the corresponding suggestion.

We are using JIRA Service Desk totally emailed based. Users don't have login details to JIRA. At the moment we can't use attachments, because users need to login to open them. Please make an option to allow opening attachments from emails without login.

[JSDSERVER-4762] Make option to allow attachments in mails available without login

The only option would be to send the attachments attached to the e-mail, for that you can use Mail Attachments for JIRA Service Desk that has been released exclusively to address this problem:

IMHO this is not a complete duplicate, as JSD-3371 suggests to include files as e-mail attachments, while Karsten seems to talk about direct and unrestricted access to the files via link. May I ask to either reopen this issue or at least to merge both somehow? Because both variants are useful and I'd really like to see them being implemented.

Basic stuff here again Atlassian. Our old ticketing system allowed this. In the words of Monday Night Countdown: "COME ON MAN!".

The product manager for JSD needs to answer this: Do you want JSD to be a contender or not? I'm already looking at other options as some of the cons of JSD outweigh the tight JIRA integration. Right now that is the ONLY reason to use JSD, IMHO.
