Service Desk Email Settings to have "Local Folder" feature

    • We collect Jira Service Desk feedback from various sources, and we evaluate what we've collected when planning our product roadmap. To understand how this piece of feedback will be reviewed, see our Implementation of New Features Policy.

      NOTE: This suggestion is for JIRA Service Desk Server. Using JIRA Service Desk Cloud? See the corresponding suggestion.

      Currently, JIRA Service Desk could only connect to any Mail Server that is using POP or IMAP email protocol. Unlike JIRA, it does not have the feature to scan any emails that is automatically saved on a Local Folder. There is time where Mail Server is having POP or IMAP protocol to be disabled and JIRA Service Desk would not able to connect to it.

      Hence, it would be great if JIRA Service Desk have the Local Folder feature or tab like Gmail, Yahoo, and Other currently.

            What about Jira has capability to read emails on https protocol? Most of the exchange servers offer https access to mailboxes with username/password option
