      Files should be attached to the outgoing service desk mail notification if an agent links files or images in a comment to a customer.

            SD users should be able to at least see the attachments in the SD portal.
            Some attachments may need to be marked as internal, just as there are internal comments. So some consideration should be given to this.

            I like this suggestion but only as an option on a per-comment basis. While 90% of the time I would like the attachment be included in the notification, there are times when I want the customer to login to retrieve a more confidential attachment.
