Currently, on the issue view most dates will appear as relative for the first 7 days, requiring the user to click on them to see the absolute version. Users want these dates to always display as absolute.
Date times included in this feature request:
- Date / time shown next to comments
- Created and Updated date / time shown in bottom right corner of issue view
Please note that the Time Tracking (Work log) date format is tracked separately in JRACLOUD-77988: Time Tracking (Log Work) date format does not respect the time format set as per the Language setting
We’ve now addressed this in the new issue view!
- When the date of the action is <= 7 days ago, you’ll be able to switch between relative and absolute formats by clicking on the timestamp.
- When the date of the action is > 7 days ago, it will always show the timestamp in absolute format, as per our design guidelines.
If you don’t have the new issue view yet, you can try it out by clicking on your avatar > Personal settings then turning on New Jira issue view under Labs. For more info, check out The new Jira issue view.
NOTE: This suggestion is for JIRA Cloud. Using JIRA Server? See the corresponding suggestion.
Request to be able to enable absolute date for JIRA issue view and remove relative date for JIRA OnDemand.
So instead of "Yesterday 6:12 PM" display "June 12, 2014 06:12:14 PM"
=========================================================
Kindly consider this feature of absolute date and time for all issues instead of more than 7 days
