      Atlassian Update - 10 January 2023

While we continue to work on the fix, customers can contact Support to enable early access to the feature. We previously identified a bug associated with that early access but it has since been fixed.

      Thanks again for your patience.

      Atlassian Update - 2nd December 2022

      Hi everyone,

Thank you for your ongoing patience as we work on this bug.

We are currently in the process of testing a fix. This fix has been rolled out to 5% of customers so far and we've seen positive results. The roll out will get progressively faster as we gain confidence it works across all domains and projects. We're projecting a full roll out by the end of next week if things continue to go well. Thank you again for your patience and keep an eye out on this ticket for further updates.

      Issue Summary

This is reproducible on Data Center: yes
When using EPIC issue type in Company managed projects, nesting of tasks is not functional on the list view.

      Steps to Reproduce

      1. Step 1
        1. Create an EPIC issue type within a company managed project
        2. Create a task and associated subtasks
      2. Step 2
        1. Refresh the list view, and all tasks and subtask will show up at the top level and not nested

      Expected Results

The tasks and subtasks are all expected to stay in a nested form as shown

      Actual Results

This is how the tasks and subtasks within EPIC issue type are showing up

We have the problems with older tickets that were migrated from a Jira Software. These Epics have unpredictable behavior when expanded. Is there anything we need to do to fix those Epics?

That is correct, it is a Jira Software project. Thanks

This feature still doesn't work for us, neither in old projects or new. The List View shows all epics, tasks and even sub-tasks on the same hierarchical level with no nesting.

This is a company-managed project on a Standard Jira Software subscription.

We've created a ticket for customer support as well.

This does not actually appear to be fixed or something weird is still happening with it. New projects seems to behave as expected, but exisiting projects from before are still not working even if creating new tasks.

Hey 312fac99ae21, see my comment, above:

Nesting on the List view in Jira Work Management projects is now functional again, so we are closing this issue.

If you wish to see nesting on the Timeline view, we recommend you vote for and watch JWMCLOUD-111 – Nest related Tickets in Timeline (Epics > Stories > Tasks). Thank you!

Let me know if you have any further questions, cheers!

            Hello,

I continue to see this issue on the timeline view even though it now works on the list view. Can you confirm if this is expected behavior?

If so I will move the team back to Jira software projects.
