Not able to expand epics in list view

When epics are created in the JWM project, the child issues of the epics are listed randomly within the table rather than listing it exactly below the relevant parent epic. This works perfectly for task and subtask relations as mentioned in the document https://support.atlassian.com/jira-work-management/docs/create-and-edit-issues-and-subtasks-from-the-list-view/

The option to expand Epic disappears when we choose a Filter option in the list view.
