As a Service Desk Customer, I want to export the Service Desk Requests fields (cvs, excel) to be able to follow my interactions with Service Desk Team agents in a offline mode

    • We collect Jira Service Desk feedback from various sources, and we evaluate what we've collected when planning our product roadmap. To understand how this piece of feedback will be reviewed, see our Implementation of New Features Policy.

NOTE: This suggestion is for Jira Service Management Data Center. Using Jira Service Management Cloud? See the corresponding suggestion.

We are using Service Desk for online support.

Our support agents are telling us that our clients are asking quite often to export the requests list with status etc. for their meetings, or to integrate within their project management system.

Idea would be to have in the My Requests page, an export button.

            Hi,

Export options are available in our app: Extension for Jira Service Desk. Firstly, you can export every request to the .DOC file (when you're on the Request Detail View). Secondly, after installation, you'll have a new button on the My Requests List which allow you to export all requests or only selected requests to the .CSV file.

This app is currently available only on Server, but we're working on Cloud version.

            Cheers,

            Kate

The FIRST THING our JSD beta customer asked for was the ability to export issues.   it would be nice not to have to program it for them.

As in our opinion and also in customer's this kind of feature will improve the colaboration in a strong way.

Our customers also requests such feature a lot.
Better excel plugin is not an option also as they required to do print out any time they need, without opening a ticket or contacting somebody.

We'd need a solution that works with JSD cloud instance - so far none of the posted suggestions will work.

You can use the Better Excel Plugin to export custom Excel reports with one click.

Reports can include Service Desk SLA custom fields flexibly mixed with system fields (e.g. creation date, due date, last update) and any sort of other custom fields.

Learn more about this integration here and sample reports here.

High end customers demand the ability to export their "Trouble Ticket" lists (however filtered) for various operational purposes.  Not having this functionality within their Portal view forces them to rely on their vendor to provide a data dump file, putting an external resource into their critical path for whatever purpose the data was needed.  As a vendor (using JIRA SD) who has been caught in this situation way too often, not having this feature has become a major source of dissatisfaction - both dissatisfaction of JIRA from our perspective; and dissatisfaction with our service/support from our customer's perspective.  This second point will ultimately force us to move to another Customer Service Desk Ticketing system as we CANNOT continue to have our customers being dissatisfied with us because of a limitation in a tool we use to support them.  Please put this feature/functionality request at the top of your list!

            Thanks!

Ui, last comment from August 2016, it's time to push this up a bit. We were asked from our customers as well for an export functionality ... In addition the workaround is not enough because creation date, due date and last update date would be needed as well.

Copy and paste isn't a solution. What if a customer want to export issue with comments?

Until this Feature is built, have your customers try this workaround:

            1. Requests List screen - Navigate to the Requests List screen, then set the filters so it displays the issues they would like exported.
            2. *Highlght, then Copy *- simply highlight the list beginning with the header row "type", then drag the the mouse down to select all the Requests underneath it.
            3. Paste - open up Excel and paste.

This method is pretty neat since it will maintain the hyperlinks. The first column may be empty, since it was the Request Type images; however, the other columns are pretty valuable and they paste and line-up neatly.

Our customers requested also to being able to export a list of their issues to a CSV or Excel document directly from their "My Requests" page.
Would be nice to have an Export-Button there availible. I've voted for this issue as well.

I've put in a vote for this issue as well - our customers would really benefit from being able to export a list of their issues to a CSV or Excel document directly from their "My Requests" page and have begun requesting the ability to do so.

You can export the Service Desk fields to PDF documents with the JIRA PDF View Plugin. These include the SLA fields and the "Customer Request Type", too.

            Here are two samples:

And here are the details about this feature.
