Problem Definition

If you use a URL custom field and make it visible on the Customer Portal it will display as text instead of as a clickable link.

When viewed in JIRA as an agent, however, the link is rendered as clickable.

Suggested Solution

Update renderer for URL Custom Fields such that the links are clickable in Portal View.

Workaround

Instead of using a URL custom field type, you could use a Text (Single Line) custom field with the Renderer set to Wiki Style Renderer. This will correctly render URLs as clickable, however it won't perform input validation to ensure you are entering a URL.
