            Could you help me, please? We had installed JIRA Servicedesk 3.3.0-RC02, but i can't find, where can i change default text of notification, change notifications with HTML, CSS, and plain text templates. Do these abilities exist in JIRA Servicedesk 3.3.0-RC02?

            Atlassian doesn't communicate a lot on the all product release date : as you can see the version 3.3.0 of JIRA Service Desk in EAP4 meaning that it is close to the final release version, but no date is known yet 

            ps : I am not part of Atlassian, I am a Solution Partner of Atlassian

            We purchased the server version of the JIRA service desk, assuming this feature was also available on it.

            It's very disappointing to discover it is not and there is not yet a date specified for release.

            We will need to delay our planned rollout of JIRA ServiceDesk until this can be enabled.  Please provide an estimated release date.

            Would you advise we go with the JIRA ServiceDesk EAP (beta) in production in January while we wait?

            You asked for it, we built it! We've added a new page to your project settings called Customer notifications. Here, you can edit the messages that are sent as your project's notifications. 
            
            

            1) Can I opt for sending a whole attachment to customer instead of that dumb link to the portal?

            2) Can I get rid completely of all links to the portal in all my notifications?

            That said, I want an email-only mode of using JIRA Service Desk with my external customers. Is it possible?

            It looks like the custom notification functionality should be out soon, eap4 for the next jira and service desk has the functionality in it:

            I agree with Celia. We are waiting for a feature that should be included in something we have already paid. We shouldn't have to pay extra for it.

            Also, sending a direct spam email is very unpolite and, at least me, I have put your address in the spam folder directly. So, no need to send another one, thanks.

            Tanks for your contribution, the purpose of this request is to customize customer notification... witch is not crurently possible...

            Meanwhile, you guys could use TemplateMe! which allows you to create template in JIRA projects, including JSD Projects.
            However, you cannot replace Customer Notifications using this addon, but you can create Custom Templates for the rest of your Team.

            We are also extremely interested about this feature. It is absolutely fundamental for us.

            I suppose this issue is only for the customization of the text, but shouldn't we also have a way of customizing when the notifications are sent, like we just have in JIRA Software. The fact that these are "hardcoded" now is an unbelievable step backwards from the "perfectly fine" JIRA  Software notification schemes. Why messing with them?? I really can not understand it.

            I would like to forward this information to other users. I contacted the support directly, by our instance of JIRA, about this issue and they informed me that it will be available on the next major release, supposed JSD 3.3. The estimate date (an estimation, not a specific one) should be on on January/Febuary 2017.

            I think they are on holiday celebrating the release for Cloud Service Desk Notifications Customization (only Cloud customers allowed at that party).

            Unfortunately, the Atlassian people are not very communicative about that point. I think I speak for most of us when I say that this is an important feature we're waiting for since long. And it would be great, if one of Atlassians would talk to us and provide us with some news.

            Now that this feature is implemented in the cloud version, how long will it take to implement it in server? It's hopefully not that difficult to port the code, since it it basically the same product. Can you give us ETA? The inability to customize notifications prevents my company from buying JIRA ServiceDesk. And it has over 60 votes, so it is highly demanded feature. I'm not quite sure what else has to happen for this to get implemented at this point.

            JSD-218 was not specifically limited to the Cloud version, therefore according to the original request and following the rules and philosophy for processing of requests it should remain in Status IN PROGRESS rather than CLOSED
            Please kindly reopen JSD-218 and enable this function for the server version asap.
