NOTE: This suggestion is for JIRA Service Desk Server. Using JIRA Service Desk Cloud? See the corresponding suggestion.

      Summary

Similar to JSD-2301, except that this is specifically for the Customer Portal.

In a default Customer Portal, there will be the following default fields

      • What do you need?
      • Why do you need this?

These fields are different from the Comment field in JSD-2301, hence the separate ticket. The behaviour is the same though. Any data entered into the fields will not be preserved if a user accidentally navigates away and click the Back button.

When a customer is adding a comment in JSD, they should get a warning if they navigate away before clicking on the Add button.

JSDServer-2301issue is still a problem in JSD v 4.1. Can you please explain how the issue has been "fixed" i.e. Is a warning message presented to the JSD agent before navigating away from the page? Or is the comment text that was entered in the comment field prior to navigating from the page held in the field?
