    • We collect Jira Service Desk feedback from various sources, and we evaluate what we've collected when planning our product roadmap. To understand how this piece of feedback will be reviewed, see our Implementation of New Features Policy.

NOTE: This suggestion is for Jira Service Management Data Center. Using Jira Service Management Cloud? See the corresponding suggestion.

A gadget that users can add to either a standard Jira Dashboard or Confluence page allowing selection of a specific Service Project and report(s) to display. The gadget should also allow selection of the time frame for each report selected (same as in JSM Reports view) and a refresh interval.

Update as of 24 Feb, 2017

      Hi everyone,
We've recently released a gadget called 'Service desk report' in the Cloud version of the product. Agents can now see the custom or knowledge base reports from a service desk directly on the dashboard and wallboard.

See an example of it on the blog post – https://confluence.atlassian.com/servicedeskcloud/blog/2017/02/auto-approve-new-report-gadget-more

      Cheers,
      The Jira Service Management team

Why atlassian, why do we have to struggle for such basic features that are native to your other products!

ok, we've been using JSD/JSM for ~ 3 years. I voted for this feature back then. I still need it. Can I get another vote?

No there isn't.  Nor will there be.  Atlassian has intentionally hamstrung their server versions so they can push people to their more expensive cloud offering.

            Anything available for Server yet??

Claire Duncan added a comment - Anything available for Server yet??

It should be obvious why.  They can squeeze a whole lot more money out of the Cloud version than the server version, so they're trying to push people to cloud by intentionally allowing the server version to go fallow.

Why is this native in Cloud but not Server? Seems like an obvious gap and has been open for 6.5 years. This is yet another indication that server / data center customers are not valued by Atlassian. Would prefer not to use yet another Marketplace solution.

Whilst I would still love to see some form of native gadgets in Jira there are at least now some alternatives available. I personally recommend folks look at https://www.visualscript.com/sla-metrics/sla-health-gauge.htm as this provides a nice balance between out of the box usage and the ability to build your own custom reports.

Since this has been implemented in Jira Cloud for some time, when will this feature appear in Server? I use Dashboards as a way to display the KPIs for my director and need SLAs, customer satisfaction, and customer request types to be accessible as Gadgets for this to happen effectively.

Dears, is there any update for the server?

Would also be interested in integrating custom report diagrams (JIRA_URL/projects/PROJECTKEY/reports/custom/145/timescale/8) onto a Dashboard. Same goes for satisfaction rating. Would be nice to be able to add those to a dashboard.

Still gathering interest while the same feature has been available for cloud users for aeons?

And to think we paid more than $10k for this piece of... well... software

It would be nice to implement this in Sharepoint with our cloud instance.

If anyone is interested, we have released a new app - Rich Filters for Service Desk Dashboards - which among other things covers this issue too (on server instances). Have a look and don't hesitate to contact us if you need more details.

Need this one badly in JSD Server! Come on Atlassian, this ticket has been open for 4 years now, how hard can it be to copy and already existing feature?!

Agreed with Dave Paulson. Absolutely crucial and seems odd that its available to Cloud customers but not those of us onprem!

Why is the new Service Desk Report gadget being made available to Cloud customers but not to those of us using Server implementations?

Yes, this is a very essential feature but Atlassian probably will not implement this since it can have huge performance impact on the server.

This is very essential feature and not getting Service Desk reports on single Dashboard is major drawback. Please provide this feature

            Hi there,

Can I echo the comments above. I'm surprised this isn't in as this information is crucial. In my view this is the biggest gap in the Service Desk functionality I've found so far.

            Thanks

Same wish from my management. They really want to see the current and historic SLA values on the dashboard. The simple use case from Phil Fox above completely brings it to the point!

This what management wants. Same management that approves the cost of JIRA plugins

Here is a typical simplified use case that could be considered.

As a manager of a company that uses JIRA Service Desk to track our compliance with SLAs I would like to see a gadget on a wallboard showing both historic and current achievement of SLAs so that everyone has visibility.

We also need this feature to monitor and inform high level managers who are not Agents

This would be extremely helpful for organizing reports when those reports need to be broken down in more granular ways, such as by assignee, component, labels, and custom fields. This currently requires creating a large number of Report pages when operating in the SD itself.

Any update on this issue? We really need this to allow upper management who have no need to be Agents see their Service Desk information in a dashboard.
