• We collect Jira Service Desk feedback from various sources, and we evaluate what we've collected when planning our product roadmap. To understand how this piece of feedback will be reviewed, see our Implementation of New Features Policy.

NOTE: This suggestion is for JIRA Service Desk Server. Using JIRA Service Desk Cloud? See the corresponding suggestion.

The new feature with JSD-41 is great, however when you have a group with starting with "<Department Name Starting with the letter "B">" and a group named "General", and most of your request types are in the "General" category, the "<Department Name Starting with the letter "B">" by default is selected when you view the customer portal.

There is no way to move "General" to the top and/or have it selected by default.

      Thanks,
      Shane

Service Pack foe JSD does let you now order the groups. However, the default group that is opened when a user goes to the portal is the group that is alphabetically first. Therefore, if you want the use to open the portal in the first group listed it won't unless it is alphabetically first.

            Hey guys,

Thanks for your feedback on this issue. We use votes as an input into the prioritisation for upcoming releases - we encourage you to vote on this issue if it's important to you.

As you mentioned in the description, request type groups are currently ordered alphabetically and in Service Desk 1.1 there is no way to reorder these groups. One way to work around this limitation is to prefix your group names with numbers or letters, eg.

            • 1. General
            • 2. Business Ops
            • 3. HR
            • 4. Finance

            etc

Request types without a sort option is just an inconsequent improvement!

Are you guys sometimes thinking what you are doing?
It's like having SLA's only on hourly basis. Who needs such things in a product if you cannot adjust based on your requirements.

Please provide things in the future if they are finished. Just providing quick solutions is not the right way!
