Problem Definition
Due to a recent change done from Atlassian end, the customer username is now replaced with qm <codes> such as:
qm:4c4abce8-4872-3fd6-844f-64f8c8dg5e9a:5acb246f2de58r2b3a943dbd
Because of this when a customer is mentioned and chosen from the drop-down list, you will see the following:
Customer would like to see the following option back in the comment section when mentioning user:
[~test.atlassian@atlassian.com]
Why This is Important
As of now this is not user-friendly and there is a possibility that you could include a wrong qm <code> and you will have to "preview" the comment everytime just to ensure you have the right customer mentioned. This can be confusing and lead to a lot of easy mistakes by mentioning the wrong customer.
The customer understands that you can "preview" the mention made but this action was not necessary the last time, when the email address was shown, as it was direct and easy to understand.
