NOTE: This suggestion is for JIRA Service Desk Cloud. Using JIRA Service Desk Server? See the corresponding suggestion.
Problem Definition
When creating a ticket through email, all members of the organization are added by default. This causes notifications for people in the organization, who the reporter may not wish to be included.
Suggested Solutions
Create a project level default setting to specify whether email notifications are shared with the organization or made private.
User level Solution
On a per-customer basis, there should be the following options:
- use the project default
- notify all members
- notify only reporter
- notify specific members [list]
- notify all members except: [list]
Workaround
See additional feature request https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JSD-4543 for disabling all notifications, except Reporter.
