Create ability to customize the Customer Portal URL in JIRA Service Management

      Hello everyone,

      Thanks for your patience with waiting for this feature!

      We know that branding and customisation is important for our customers, and I'm happy to share that over the past few months we have been making great progress working on this with other teams throughout Atlassian.

      Our first step for customising the Jira Service Management Help Portal is to allow you to customise your domain for your help portal. We are aiming to run an early access program for this feature early next year, but in the meantime would like to hear from you on how you'd like customise your domain and URL for your help portal/s.

      We are taking expressions of interest for this feature and early access program so if you are happy to share your feedback and thoughts so we can learn more about how you use the help portal, please fill out this form here. 

      I will update you all as we get closer to when we are ready to run the early access program as well as when this feature is ready to roll out.

      Hello all, thank you for your patience.

      We are in the early stages of discussion for this feature. Nothing concrete to share. I will update again as we move into the new financial year (July 2022) to give an indication of where it stands.



      As a Project Administrator, I would like to have the ability to display a different URL for JIRA Service Desk (e.g. support.company.com) instead of jira.xxx.com

      Problem Definition

      In JIRA Service Desk, customers must access JIRA by using a Service Desk URL, which can sometimes be quite a long path, depending on the portal.

      Suggested Solution

      • Create the ability to have a Short URL option on the portal, (like short url's in Confluence pages)
      • Create the ability to have customisable short URL's that could point to different portals in JIRA Service Desk.
