Problem Definition
On Jira Service Desk Automation rules, currently it isn’t possible to use variables to get ticket information in comments.
Suggested Solution
It would be very helpful to be able to use the ticket's information with the Add comment feature. That way we could refer to the persons name or build up a link, etc. through Automation.
Example:
Hello ${reporter.displayName},
Please click http://foobar/resolve?${issue.id} to resolve the issue.
This would be a simple text replacement and no scripting would be required hence security is still given.
Why this is important
Further Automation options out of the box for users.
Workaround
Automation Lite for Jira App has plenty of automation customization through triggers.
