Hi everyone,
Thank you for watching, commenting, and engaging with us on JRACLOUD-41352, i.e., the ability to show/hide fields based on another field’s value. In full transparency, we will not address this feature in the near term. You can check our feature policy for more information on how we decide what we implement.
Having said that, you may use marketplace apps such as ScriptRunner Behaviors, Dynamic Forms for Jira, Field Behaviours for Jira Cloud and Create Issue Automatics to achieve the same functionality!

Problem Definition
As a admin or user of the system I'd like to show/hide a field on a screen based upon options selected from another field. This should apply to status transition and edit screen for issues.
Workaround
For Jira Service Management Cloud, using the Jira Forms - Using conditional logic with Forms
For Jira Software Cloud there is no native workaround. However third party apps such as Dynamic Custom Fields for Jira can achieve the use-case
