      Problem Definition

      Currently, the 'Start date' field is not being translated the language set on the user's language settings, nor can it be edited due to it being locked.

      This is also the case for the fields: Epic Link, Team

      Suggested Solution

      Translate the language to unify with other fields like 'Due date' where it is translated automatically depending on user's configured language. Or allow admins to rename the field.

            +1 we have so many user inquiries about this topic.  Please solve ASAP, how a simple translation problem can be waiting for 2 years to be solved?

            As our users communicate in Dutch and have their language settings in Dutch, it is confusing that 'Start date' remains in English. Additionally, it doesn't look professional.

            +1 for this, please prioritize this apparently simple field translation. It's quite annoying for the users, and we have to constantly explain to users that this is a Jira bug.

            I am a Jira Software administrator in my company. I receive requests from many users regarding this issue. I hope that this issue will be resolved as soon as possible.

            Looks like the Atlassian development team is very speedy with their own agile development tools at hand! Seriously, how long does it take to fix an issue as simple as that? It's soon two years ago when this issue was raised. Just put some translations into a table and read it instead of the English text when the user language is not English.

            Hello, this is a known issue and I understand it is very frustrating. We are very apologetic for how logn this has been a problem and are pushing to get this issue resolved. The issue is very complex so requires some time and resources but it is on product team's backlog and the issue will be tracked here: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRACLOUD-78569
