      Problem

As of now, there is no a way a customer can see the users who are using a particular 3rd party app.

      Suggested Solution

It would be great if we can provide the organisation admins, the ability to see this data from admin.atlassian.com

      Why This Is Important

This helps the customers to make a decision on whether the app needs to be retained or not. This also gives an insight into the number of users utilising the apps.

As a Jira Admin, It would be great like to know:

      • What users are using add-ons that we are being charged for?
      • When was the last time they used it?
      • When did we start using it?
      • When was it downloaded and used?

All the above requirements will help customers to identify and manage the third apps usage.

      Workaround

This would be a game changer in helping track usage of Third Party Apps which usually have high costs. Please add this feature to the suite of Admin tools to better improve Jira platform management. Thank you.

its really crazy that there is no way for an admin to see usage of part of the system.

We have a process of reoccurring reviews of existing apps.

A feature like this could save us a lot of time we currently spend on reaching out to our users to try and figure out if an app is still being used or providing the required value.

It would also make it easier to justify onboarding new apps as it would greatly reduce the administrative burden.

+1 please, Atlassian!. This would be a game changer in many ways ... Yeah, granted add-ons may not like this but as the host application, I think this would make a great deal of sense. Thank you

Feeling compelled to chime in on the recent comments. This is a significant Gap in basic reporting that Atlassian should be providing customer base. The votes are not extensive on this, but as has been stated before, I think the weight of those votes are heavy enough to get this some traction

We are in desparate need for this functionality as the app vendors themselves do not want to or have the information to share. I have contacted them all and out of 13 just one had some kind of information to use.

This would be especially helpful when getting to the end of the year, when we are looking at renewing contracts, etc..it's embarrassing to send out a survey asking users if they use this or that app.

Only 153 votes BUT I would say they are heavy votes - meaning, this would add a ton of valuable insight on how apps are used to compare against costs paid, and general administrative analytics ... Please push up the rank on this, Atlassian. Much appreciated.

I just got tasked with trying to find how many users are using each marketplace app so we can figure out if we are wasting money. As of right now there is no way of gathering this information without talking to the entire user base and even then, that isn't a reliable way to gather this data.

Please put something in place ASAP to save us admins from insane headaches.

Critical to understand what apps are having money thrown away because no one is using it. The fact that it is available in data center installs but not Cloud is ridiculous! My company is floored that we cannot see this information. This is below the board activity.

This is badly needed. There's already an app built by Atlassian that's available for Data Center. Why not Cloud?

It's surprising that this basic thing is not available, which is pretty much required for routine admin/housekeeping work, major operations like migrations, etc. Kindly look into this new feature request and provide feature showing usage data of add-ons. If that's not possible on Atlassian's end, kindly enforce policy for app vendors to provide add-on usage section in their apps mandatorily.

This is really critical for us to understand and this data helps us in making decisions with regards to separating /merging sites.

Same camp as everyone here. I'm absolutely astounded that such features don't already exist within Atlassian products. We have the same issue facing us for Confluence and Jira. The Atlassian apps are already spendy and the third party apps don't help the matter much.

I agree - when we pay for third party apps - we need to be able to constantly assess if they are still worth the money we are paying. We have an app that costs every month and I literally have no idea if anyone is even using it. If you are going to present third party apps in your application - we really need to be able to see reporting on use, particularly where they are being billed.

We have multiple Apps installed on our instance, but before we uninstall anyone of them. We need to be sure that are they being used by any user. At present i don't see any such feature available in Jira SaaS to get this information.

If we can have such information it would be great.

Few months ago we enabled a new feature in Jira which has made one of our paid apps pretty much redundant, but we have no means of checking if any of our users are still using that app before we remove it. We have tried to request usage information from the apps vendor, but they advised us that they don't record usage information. And its probably won't be high on their priority list since it aids users to move away from using the app. The only option we have currently is to disable/restrict access to the app completely and then see who complains, but this is disruptive and we'd prefer of course to have a view of app's recent users instead.
