            [JSDSERVER-725] Pasting screenshots from clipboard

The ability to paste screenshot is available within JIRA yes.

But NOT on the customer portal. It is possible to attach a screenshot after you have saved it as a file. But it would be nice to simple paste the image onto the description field in the same manner as in Jira.  Please advice..

That does help; I was able to do it. Hm. OUr business users aren't CTRL+V folks. They're right-click+Paste people. I wish we could put the instructions somewhere.

vboudreau you can follow the info on this page for how to attach screenshots: https://confluence.atlassian.com/jira/attaching-a-screenshot-185729550.html
The way to paste is using the Ctrl+V / CMD+V shortcuts.

            The basics
            Windows:
Press ALT-PRINTSCREEN to capture your currently selected window; or
Press CTRL-ALT-PRINTSCREEN to capture the whole desktop
Then press Ctrl+V while on the request page to paste the image.

            Mac OSX:
Press CTRL-CMD-SHIFT-4 to capture a selected area of your desktop; or
Press CTRL-CMD-SHIFT-3 to capture the whole desktop
Then press CMD+V while on the request page to paste the image.

            Hope this helps

We see in the attachment field it says "Drag and drop files, paste screenshots, or browse" but we can't figure out how to paste a screenshot in there. Right clicking inside the box doesn't give you a paste option. It's not that it's greyed out, it's not there.

You can manually download and upgrade to Service Desk 3.1. I noticed yesterday and got it working now.

            Hello,

As Alexander says, when are you planning to release in Server Version ?

My company decided to take JSD after a POC on the cloud version, and now that we installed the server version, this very important feature for us is not present. So we are not going to go to production right now..
