    • We collect Jira Service Desk feedback from various sources, and we evaluate what we've collected when planning our product roadmap. To understand how this piece of feedback will be reviewed, see our Implementation of New Features Policy.

      Problem Definition

In some cases, JIRA Service Desk administrator does not want the customer to be able to add a participant.

      Suggested Solution

Add an option to disable sharing feature under Customer Permission and remove the Share feature from the Customer Portal.

          Form Name

[JSDSERVER-6087] Allow Service Desk administrator to disable "Share" feature

Just happened to me as well. An user/agent shared a request with an e-mail-user in project A while the e-mail-user should never have access to that project. A new account war created in the internal directory. All newly comments in project B were assigned to the new e-mail-user while the user did not get any more notifications to their requests in project B.
-> User got access to private project due to share-feature
-> User was missing information from a project due to share-feature

We would really need that feature as well for a SD dealing with HR related questions to ensure that tickets remain private by all means.

We are running into the issue that customers from different companies and service desk organizations can see each other's mail addresses and organizations via the share feature of the customer portal. This is a very serious issue for us, and disabling the sharing feature would be really helpful in this case.

So, coming back to Tran's question:

Is there a module somewhere in system plugin that we can disable?
