Incorporate Request type, SLA, Queue and Automation into the "create with shared configuration" option

    • We collect Jira Service Desk feedback from various sources, and we evaluate what we've collected when planning our product roadmap. To understand how this piece of feedback will be reviewed, see our Implementation of New Features Policy.

NOTE: This suggestion is for JIRA Service Desk Server. Using JIRA Service Desk Cloud? See the corresponding suggestion.

The "Create with shared configuration" currently take over the following configurations when creating a new project:

      • Permission Scheme
      • Notification Scheme
      • Issue Security Scheme
      • Workflow Scheme
      • Issue Type Scheme
      • Issue Type Screen Scheme
      • Field Configuration Scheme

For Service Desk projects though it is very convenient to have Request Types, SLAs and Queues implemented in this function as well. In particular in situations where Customer organisations are separated from each other on a project base, where the usage across projects is the same, this causes overhead on setting up projects for new customer organisations, as new SLAs, Queues and Automation Rules need to be created.

You should vote also at JSDSERVER-4763, as "Service Desk Schemes" are necessary for this feature.

When we try to use create with shared configuration , we found that the Workflow Scheme and Field Configuration Scheme are not inherit issue and unable to change the the work schema which shows Jira-schema not the one set at parent level

We often need to create different Service Desk projects for different customers, but with the same request types. Unfortunately we are left to redo the configuration by hand which is a major pain point.
