To be able to copy Request Types for Project Created with shared configuration

      From Jira 7.0 onward, we allow customers to share the configuration of a project. Customer can create a Service Project having all the schemes shared. However, the custom request types are not being copied during the creation of project. Only the default request types are copy. This is vital for the Service Project and it would be nice if we enable selection or automatically copy the request types.

            Regarding the price of service desk licenses I dont understand it still takes us as customers a million years to manually re-create existing request types.

            Implementing JSDSERVER-4276 to have a consistent solution with the general Jira configuration would be much better...

            From an Enterprise perspective we are missing that feature.

            • We have a lot of different Business Request ServiceDesk installations / instances for different Departments in our Group 
            • All those request types have customized text labels instead of "Summary" ... "Description" etc.
            • To be able to drive a template approach and roll out Jira ServiceDesk to more entities globally within our group we need the ability to really CLONE Jira ServiceDesk Configurations including :
              • EMail Notifications & Textadjustements
              • Request Types
              • Mapping of Fields to Request Types and preset values (hidden) - such as labels, components etc. 
              • Request Type Field Name customization

            I have created a somewhat complex form for a Request Type in one project.  I would like that form to span across multiple projects. The ability to copy a request type within a project would sure save me some hours.  Thank You.

            Hi All,
            I agree, it would be great to have the copy Request Types option available. Configuring the fields for each request type is a bit time consuming.
            I am setting up Service Desk projects now which would require similar configuration (only the permission settings and the contact email addresses would be different). So the feature would be very useful for me now.
            (or maybe a template project what we could use as a base)

            Looking forward to any updates on this topic.
