Jira customer notifications are sent to the customer in the language configured in customer profile (default language), they need to update their profile language to recieve notifications in the desired language.

Would be possible to send customer notifications based on "Request language" field rather than Customer configured language

[JSDCLOUD-9722] JIRA customer notifications language based on Request language

I agree with Vojtech, this should be classified as a bug rather than Suggestion.

This is something that is a major issue for us regarding international customers, in 2024 it should be possible to generate responses based on users system/browser language.
Even incoming domains like mail.es/fr/dk/com could be valid alternatives to base a reply on.

This is really frustrating that email notifications do not reflect the detected language. DO we really need to make automation rules with langue IF clauses to make this work?

I think this is a very important feature to have. We support thousands of customers world wide, and if a French user gets an English e-mail, often they're gone.

It would be great if we could attach an email template to a JQL query (same as with the SLA feature), so you can also change email templates based on other properties than language alone.

I think this feature is essential to having a functional multilingual setup with Jira Service Management.

If you use Jira Service Management with multiple languages where people create issues by email then this feature is essential.

One could argue: What is the point of detecting the request language and having multilingual support, if the email notification does not reflect that? How many Customers in Jira Service Management would create a user, log-in and change their language? I suspect only a few - if any.

I hope you will implement this feature!

PS If you see this thread and would also like this feature, please vote for it and perhaps share your thoughts in a comment, to gain attention from Atlassian and increase the probability of this feature being implemented.
