      NOTE: This suggestion is for JIRA Service Desk Cloud. Using JIRA Service Desk Server? See the corresponding suggestion.

      As per https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JSD-218 custom notifications is possible for customer notifications. While this is great, it doesn't serve us. We use JIRA service desk internally and is not exposed to outside customers. 

      • Add the custom notifications for agents/admins
      • Allow Custom fields to be used as message variables in the template
