    • Our product teams collect and evaluate feedback from a number of different sources. To learn more about how we use customer feedback in the planning process, check out our new feature policy.

NOTE: This suggestion is for JIRA Service Desk Cloud. Using JIRA Service Desk Server? See the corresponding suggestion.

      Summary

As of JSD 3.1.0-OD-01, the portal view was changed when viewing all potential service desks. No longer are descriptions of all present service desks, rather, a list of popular / recent service desks exists now.

      Environment

      JSD Cloud 3.1.0-OD-01
      JSD Server 3.1.7

      Steps to Reproduce

      1. Create two or more Service Desks
      2. View all available portals by loading https://instancename.atlassian.net/servicedesk/customer/portals

      Expected Results

A list of all portals with descriptions should be visible

      Actual Results

A list of popular and recent portals is displayed

      Notes

With this new view, it leaves a lot of guess work on the part of the user / customer. While there is a search available, the user / customer may not know what he / she is searching for.

      Workaround

This can currently be disabled as pointed out in the support readiness document Support Readiness - Smart Portal

TURN ON the sd.global.portal.rt.search.disabled dark feature. The portal will revert back to the old design.

NOTE Disabled the Smart Portal renders the Customize button unusable.
