Printing or exporting from the Issue View prints empty Insight custom fields even when there is a value set

      Issue Summary

      Within the issue view of a ticket, printing the issue or selecting Export to XML will have the Insight custom field name but will the value will be empty, even when a value is set within the issue.

      Steps to Reproduce

      1. Create an Insight custom field and configure the context to link to an existing Insight Schema
      2. Add the field to an issue field screen and ensure the field is visible on the view issue screen
      3. Create a ticket and add a value to the Insight custom field
      4. Click the more () button in the top right corner and select Print
      5. Viewing the printed HTML document in the issue view will have the Insight custom field name but the value will be blank

       

      Similar behavior was experienced with exporting to XML using the above steps.

      Expected Results

      The field value is present.

      Actual Results

      The field itself is present but has no value associated with it

      Workaround

      Using a Jira custom field, the value of the Insight custom field can be copied over and this data can be printed and exported as expected. Steps on setting up an automation to auto populate the Jira custom field with the Insight field attribute can be found below:
