Say a {noformat} macro in a comment has a long line:

      womblewomblewomblewomblewomblewomblewomblewomblewomblewomblewomblewomblewomblewomblewomblewomblewomblewomblewomblewomblewomblewomblewomblewomblewomblewomblewomblewomblewomblewomblewomblewomblewomblewomblewomblewomblewomble

This causes the whole page to widen, requiring a horizontal scrollbar, and content (particularly fields at the top) gets pushed off to the right of the screen.

The {noformat} tag should (like in Confluence) be given its own horizontal scrollbar to scoll long text.

      UPDATE :

In a similar vein, long lines of "unbroken" text inside a text area field will also cause the wide scrolling to appear
      for example like this :

      womblewomblewomblewomblewomblewomblewomblewomblewomblewomblewomblewomblewomblewomblewomblewomblewomblewomble

JRA-13700 reports this use case for example.
