I am closing this issue as duplicate of JRASERVER-65910

We'll start working on adding PostgreSQL 10 support for Jira Server in the near future and will be reflecting the status on JRASERVER-65910. Expect to receive an update there on our progress within the next 6 weeks.

We've also planned adding support for PostgreSQL 11. See JRASERVER-68578 for updates.

    • We collect Jira feedback from various sources, and we evaluate what we've collected when planning our product roadmap. To understand how this piece of feedback will be reviewed, see our Implementation of New Features Policy.

PostgreSQL 10 was released in 2017: https://www.postgresql.org/about/news/1786/. Currently JIRA supports only PostgreSQL up to version 9.6. This feature request is to add support for PostgreSQL 10, as clients will want to run the newer versions to keep up with development and features.

            What is the deal?
            Why does Bit-bucket already Support PostgreSQL 10 & 11 ?
            Supported Databases PostgreSQL Versions 9.4 - 11
Yet, JIRA still has no support for neither 10 nor 11!

I wonder if Atlassian support staff sees this board at all?

There are several tickets about Postgres but no ticket had response from Atlassian

Would be nice if Atlassian would stay more current. Postgres 10 has been out since Oct 2017. Adding new health checks to say 10 isn't supported even though it works fine and had very few breaking changes from 9.x is not helpful.

After upgrading from 8.0.0 to 8.2.3, I had problems with the health check as well. Jira did not start since I'm running Postgres 10.5. I have never seen this issue with Jira 8.0.0.

After replacing the JDBC driver (as mentioned on https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjiraserver/supported-platforms-938846830.html), I was able to start and ignore the warning.

We have been running on Postgres 10.9 and not had any issues. The health check only started failing after our last Jira upgrade - is the check new?

Maybe the workaround mentioned in JRASERVER-65910 is of help?
