Win10 IE11: Some custom uploaded Avatars (JPEG) are not visible on JIRA

      Summary

      Some avatars will not render properly in IE 11, as shown in the screenshot below:

      Environment:

      IE 11 browser running on Windows 10.

      Steps to reproduce:

      1. Login as the user and navigate the user's profile page.
      2. Edit the profile picture.
      3. In the upload dialog, upload the attached image and save.

      Expected Results

      The avatar is displayed correctly on the Profile page.

      Actual Results

      The image is not displayed. JS Error thrown in the browser console.

      Workarounds

      1. Upload a new user avatar or change the current avatar file extension to PNG
      2. Use other browser (i.e Chrome)
