Date Picker for month May in Russian using Different Language Cases

      Problem

Trying to choose date of month May using the Date Picker on Date Picket type Custom Field will prompt you a warning as the following

Вы не ввели верную дату. Пожалуйста, введите дату в формате "d/MMM/yy", например. "30/дек/14"

Only occurs when system is using Russian language, or Java is set to use Russian language.

      Steps to reproduce

      1. Install JIRA 6.3.x with Java 8
      2. Set up JVM arguments as the following in setenv.bat/sh
        set JVM_SUPPORT_RECOMMENDED_ARGS=-Duser.language=ru -Duser.country=RU
      3. Restart JIRA
      4. Create new Project
      5. Create new Date Picker custom field
      6. Choose month of May on the new custom field during issue creation or editing

      Actual behaviour

      Expected behaviour

There should not be any issue or warning when choosing the date using the Date Picker for all the months

      Workaround

      • Manually add the month name as мая instead of май
      • Use -Duser.language=en in JVM argument to set default language as English

I think because there are duplicates.

Why this issue is "resolved"? Leonid posted only a workaround. This doesn't help if the one want to see "May" not "05".

Leonid, your workaround is very handy!
            Thank you very much!

            There is a workaround:

            Hello,

            I have the same problem.
I have registered it in Atlassian Support Channel ( https://support.atlassian.com/servicedesk/agent/JSP/issue/JSP-220772 ).

My Company uses only Russian JIRA-interface and it is not convenient to use suggested workaround.

Is this bug going to be resolved in future releases?

            Kind regards,
            Andrey.
