The current implementation of limited user picker (as defined by JRA-7659) only works for single user select. It should be expanded to allow for multiple user selection.

            [JRASERVER-36833] Multiselect-able limited user picker

            cpascoe

We've fixed only multi user pickers.

We've closed https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRASERVER-11945 as a duplicate as it is about both user and group pickers.
If you are interested in limiting group pickers, please vote or comment in https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRASERVER-61856.

            Hi

Knowing the reporter is inactive, is there any hope that this request will ever be taken into consideration by Atlassian ? Or do they still continue ignoring what their customers want ?

            Regards,

@Jakub Kurcek - Does this update apply to Group Pickers as well as user pickers?  I noticed this ticket (https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRASERVER-11945) was closed as duplicate but this ticket does not mention group pickers.

In this situation, I'm glad that I was wrong!!

I don't understand why you can limit single user pickers but not multi-user pickers, it's just inconsistent behaviour which should be expected out of the box by the product. Please consider adding this. We very frequently need to prevent people picking anyone in the directory and want it tied down to a set list for a multi-user field.

With both Snapbytes and cPrime offering this functionality in addons, I don't believe Atlassian will implement this, even though it's another simple example of inconsistency within their product. They make money off the addons, so why would they spend money in developer time to eliminate income sources? Wouldn't make sense.

but there are still big interest of this feature works for multi-user select without additional plugins usage, same like for single-user

We also really need it.. Is there somewhere feedback available why it is not implemented yet implemented?
