Multiselect-able limited user picker

      The current implementation of limited user picker (as defined by JRA-7659) only works for single user select. It should be expanded to allow for multiple user selection.

            I believe this issue is a duplicate of JRACLOUD-40963 – User picker (multi user) user filtering feature which is newer but has more votes.

            I recommend that watchers of this issue vote on and watch the above issue. So that votes aren't split, I believe this ticket should be closed, but I will wait a week before taking any action in case anyone thinks both issues should continue to exist. Thank you!

            Hi,

            This is a very important feature as even as admin I'm struggling with the right user to be selected within a User Picker- Multiple User field. As admin I can check on the Admin site, but a project admin has no possibility to know the correct user (when the same user name is used for several user accounts).

            Please develop asap!

            Come on Atlassian!   

            Most companies that use Jira have tons of groups.   Giving us a group picker that shows ALL existing groups  is a nigtmare for users and leaves room for users to make mistakes and select the wrong groups.  

            WE NEEED THIS.    We need to be able to limit the groups in the picker.

            This lack of feature parity with the Server version is going to be a blocker to us migrating. We are currently using the Multi-user picker with group filtering in our Service Desk instance.
