      Atlassian Update – 31 January 2019

      Hi everyone,

      Thanks for your interest in this issue. This suggestion is considered a potential addition to our longer-term roadmap. We'll typically review this request in about 12 months time, at which point we’ll consider whether we need to alter its status.

      For the nearest future we've decided to prioritize other areas of the Jira Server roadmap, including the top-voted suggestions:

      In the recent Jira Server releases we have also shipped some highly-voted features and improvements, including:

      • Adding the "updated-by" JQL search query --JRASERVER-1973
      • Support for 4 byte characters in MySQL connection JRASERVER-36135
      • Filters and dashboards collaborative editing
      • iPv6 support

      Currently, the requested functionality of merging Jira issues is available through a Marketplace App: https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1212656/issue-merger-for-Jira

      Original request description:

      Sometimes it is necessary to delete certain issues that are part of another issue without loosing the comments and attachments.

      Therefore it would be helpful to merge these issues in such a way that description and comments are merged with the comments of the 'target' issue attachments are added to the 'target' issue
