Turning the Product recommendations OFF has no visible effect

      Issue Summary

      From the System Settings, despite the Product Recommendation turned OFF it still shows the recommendation for trying out Jira Service Desk and/or Opsgenie.

      Steps to Reproduce

      1. Jira Settings > System > General Configuration
      2. The Product Recommendation is OFF with no way to edit it.

      Expected Results

      Customers will expect to edit this setting so no advertisement for other products should be seen by the uses.

      Actual Results

      The settings option, that can't be edited, remains and doesn't affect anything in the product.

      Workaround

      Opt out of product suggestions, by browsing to the following link within your site administration

      https://admin.atlassian.com/s/<site-id>/billing/addapplication?requestproductoptout=false

            The option "Turn of product recommendations" still doesn't work and the app suggestion is still enable.

            Any update on solving this issue?

            As mention in this post, I've try the "Turn of product recommendations" link in the administration and recommendations is still available (I'm administrator).
            Looks like there is still an issue with option.

            The workaround doesn't work. Me as site admin and organization admin, I get an error when I run your workaround and it said: 

            You need permission

            Request access from your administrator.

            The fix for this was rolled out in May 2020.

            This setting no longer exists within Jira settings and now redirects straight to the link mentioned in the workaround.

            This setting has been replaced by the one mentioned in the workaround.

            This should have been removed a while ago, but now remains and is very confusing. I will update the ticket
