Hey everyone, I know this is not all of the shortcuts that you are looking for, but just an fyi that the "L" works in new view but you just need to make sure it is actually on the edit screen for the issue (it is not there by default like the old view).  And it needs to be a primary context field (if it is secondary and does not have a value, the "L" key will still put your cursor into the field, but it will not allow you to set the label until you click "Show more"... you will then see that your cursor is already in the Labels field and the label search pops up).

FYI, all default fields can now actually be fully hidden or reorganized in the new view (which is a good feature, but you just need to know about some of the little quirks like the "L" and "A" shortcut keys if you move those fields around to where they are not primary).

The "e" doesn't work because there are no edit screens in new issue view and you are already on the edit screen.

The "." currently works when you are an Admin as it lets you navigate throughout the Jira instance to the administration sections (e.g. Workflows, Screens, Custom Fields, etc).  Hopefully it will again have the actions that you all need along with the Admin stuff (which are critical to navigate the full site).

Functioning now:  i = Assign to Me; a = assignee field if it is visible; m = comment; l = labels if it is visible; w = watch; . = admin

Users of cloud Jira instances will soon be forced to move to the new view, and this still doesn't work.

The priority should not be low, the new view fundamentally breaks the keyboard shortcuts.

I have only been using the old issue view, waiting for the shortcuts to work in the new before maybe switching. Now I hear the new issue view is forced on us but the issues still has not been fixed. There really still are a number of issues regarding this! I varies from missing shortcuts, shortcuts leading to the wrong place, and forms that are really poorly designed (Log Work) lacking simple form standard support (like Enter to submit). As mentioned here before, using the mouse for every single action is very tedious and frustrating. The cognitive strain just to log 30 minutes on an issue (some 10 times per day) is not acceptable. This used to be <dot> L <Enter> 30 <Enter>.  Please fix this!

As a disabled developer in an Atlassian shop, this is the difference between making Jira usable and making it not. Since we are all going to be switched to the new view, not having these keyboard shortcuts is about to make it so I can't even do my job.

How can this be prioritized a LOW prio???

Today I am still not able to EDIT an issue by using the 'e' shortcut.

My reference is to the issue when this is opened directly - ie using the direct link to the

            https://<jira-space>.atlassian.net/browse/<JIRA-ID>

Both the 'l' & '.' shortcuts are fully functional for me though…

It's funny. I sold Jira to my organization and taught everyone the shortcuts so they disliked it less. Then you took the shortcuts away 😱

As someone that adminsiters many projects this has been a huge time sink for me. Recently my carpal tunnel has cropped up and I've been looking for ways to minimize using the mouse again.  I'm a bit dismayed that this is considered a low priority.

Using Jira product shouldn't be painful.

I 100% agree with Tucker above me. This is a feature that I use ALL the time in my day-to-day. It not being in place causes me to periodically switch back to old view out of disappointment that it doesn't work. It has also almost caused a catastrophic issue for me when I was trying to use it out of habit to delete an issue and almost deleted the entire project.

Edit: I'm speaking about the find actions shortcut "." not working properly.

It seems that in the "new" (like Coke) Jira experience, you threw out a ton of useful keyboard shortcuts. It wouldn't be a problem except the "." shortcut pops up a search window that does basically nothing. I'm a systems engineer. I do everything in my power to never use a mouse. Jira makes that impossible because you can't do almost anything any more without having to click around. This has had a measurable impact on productivity.
