Description
Although most email clients support SVG files, some of them still do not. In some cases, Outlook has problems with handling these files, causing them to be displayed as broken images.
Jira uses SVG images in profile avatars. When sending notifications about events triggered from within the application, sometimes these notifications will be displayed with broken images, which is a poor user experience.

Avatar images should always be displayed. In case they could not be displayed, an alternative should exist so that the client could process the email accordingly
Actual behavior
Some clients cannot handle SVG images and therefore present a broken icon:
Suggestion
Add some kind of fallback to handle cases where client is unable to process this type of image
