Allow the JIRA Issue Navigator to display more than 1000 results

      Problem Definition

      At the moment, if a search results in more than 1000 issues, a message "Too many search results to display. Refine your search criteria and try again." is displayed and only 1000 results are shown.

      Current behavior: If the JQL results are over 1K, the number returned is now 1,000+

      Suggested Solution

      It would be good if the issue navigator showed all of the issues returned by the search.

      Workaround

      • Refer to this article on how to use Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel to export over 1000 results.
      • An alternative solution is to use the Filter Counts gadget for projects with fewer than 9999 issues.
      • Another option is the Starred Filters gadget, which retrieves even more tickets.

      A few other solutions:

      • After running the JQL query, just tap on the 'Export' icon on top right side and select 'Print List' option. It will show the full list of the issues with total number of issues, from which you can get the count.

      In addition to the above workaround, there is also a knowledge article, which provides a workaround to see the total count of issues.

            Its possible to see the actual count today by clicking the 1000+ in both List and Detail View of the Issue Navigator

            Hi - Although the changes recently made available do allow you to view more than 1000 tickets in the view by way of scrolling, the total still shows as 1000+ - So now you can get to see e.g. 1100 of 1000+. Can it perform the count so it shows 1100 of (an actual figure) ? As an administrator there are times when knowing how many tickets fit a specific criteria is important - and 1000+ (and the ability to scroll indefinitely through) doesn't really help

            The New Issue Navigator is no longer limited to 1000 and now supports infinitely scrolling through all of your results
