Issue Summary
If a user sends an email to JIRA and the email contains an inline image, the image is attached as an attachment rather than being a part of the main comment from the email.
Steps to Reproduce
- Create a project in JIRA
- Configure incoming email for the project
- Send an email that contains an inline image to the project so it creates an issue.
Expected Result
Image appears as it is with the email that was sent.
Actual Result
Image added as an attachment to the issue rather than being part of the comment(embedded in the comment).
Current Way it Works
If the user adds the correct wiki markup for image in the email, the image is attached in the comment correctly.
Suggested solution
JIRA should scan the email and should it notice an image in the incoming mail, replace the section with the email with an appropriate wiki Markup.
Workaround
Insert the image to the email, then use the wiki markup on the email body so that clients get the email properly.
