            Hi there,
Thanks for your feedback. In Confluence 5.7 we introduced a new way to upload, preview and collaborate on files. You no longer need to use a macro, just drag your file into the editor, or use the Files button to upload then insert your file as a thumbnail or link. Although the old Office and PDF macros still exist, we encourage you to insert files the new way, so you get the ability to preview, comment and easily upload new versions.
To help us focus on making the new files experience as awesome as possible, we don't intend to continue development on the old Office and PDF macros.
As this bug doesn't occur in the new files experience, we have decided to close this issue. You can find more details about multibyte characters in the Previewer in the related issue https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONF-36557. Additionally, you can find more information about installing Non-ASCII fonts on your instances here and here.

This appears to have been fixed in v5.7's new file import macro, although it introduces other problems like font spacing is not the same and causes the text lines to be spaced larger than the source. Still, it's some good progress.

            Hi, Denise,

I just used the file which is already here.
            fonttest.ppt

Please, try this one, refresh didn't help.
I tried it on my Mac with Safari and Windows7 with IE10. Both didn't work.

            Thank you.

Hi leechangjoon@namsong.co.kr, usually the PowerPoint takes a little while to be converted so often waiting and then refreshing will solve the issue.

If it doesn't, would you be able to raise a support case at https://support.atlassian.com - that is our Support system so the issue will be private between yourself and Atlassian. I'd love to get a look at the file you're uploading to try and reproduce the issue, and if we can I can then add it to this bug. Unless you're happy to upload the file here, that is fine as well, though this site is public and can be seen by anyone.

Look forward to hearing from you.

            Kind regards,
            Denise

            Hi,

What font is used in order to display multi-byte character in ppt?

My guess is that it looks like using roman font or CJK font which isn't pre-installed in Windows OS.

            Best regards,
            Kan Ogawa
