Slowness initially rendering a large Confluence page in EDIT mode

When first loading a page in EDIT (not viewing) mode, the editor is slow to load. Customers may experience the cursor on the page jumping as content in the page loads.

Steps to Reproduce

1. Click the pencil icon on a page to edit the page

The page in EDIT mode loads within expectations.

Actual Results

The page in EDIT mode is slow to load content. Perhaps the cursor is jumping as content in the edit mode appears.

Workaround
