Problem Definition
Site administrators need to manually check the application user base searching for inactive, but billable, users and depending on the company size that job is burdensome.
Suggested Solutions
Create a feature where the site admin can program a delete user cronjob based on the user's inactivity period (i.e. remove from the application all users that are not active for the last 180 days).

[AX-1275] Auto remove inactive users from the application's user management.
Please release this feature ASAP to minimize the BAU administration.
End users use "invite" to create an account automatically, but there is no mechanism to remove the accounts, so the licenses always fill up.

Hi Atlassian Team, we are waiting for this functionality for a long time now. Currently we are doing this activity manually which required lot of manual work every month. Please inform us once this functionality will be added in the Jira cloud instance.

It will deactivate all inactive users you have periodically by the time you choose.
It's totally secure, and uses Atlassian's Api's only
This feature would ease management of dormant users in JIRA. Today all this has to be done manually.
"We would like to implement a feature similar to Trello’s license management, where users can be automatically removed from a license if they haven’t used the product or app for three months. This process should be triggered from within the platform, based on user activity data."
