      Issue Summary

If you have an IP allowlisting policy enforced on your instance then Jira Cloud Sheets won't be able to connect or authenticate because the add-on is not automatically allowlisted.

      Steps to Reproduce

      1. Connect to your Jira Cloud as described in Use Jira Cloud for Sheets

      Expected Results

Successfully connected and can start using JQL to pull issue data from Jira

      Actual Results

You have been deauthorized from Jira. Please connect to continue.

[API-291] Unable to connect to instance with an IP policy enforced

Clarified in the Current Status field the required list of our add-on service's IP addresses that must be added to the allow list in Jira Cloud.

Since IP restriction (whitelisting or allowlisting) is mandatory by policy at my company,

Either Atlassian or 3rd-party app provider  should resolve this issue.

In my case, 3rd-party apps are

            • Jira Cloud for Sheets by Google
            • Jira Cloud for Excel by Microsoft

            Here's my sugession:

Atlassian: Add a button, at IP restriction page, like 'allow access from Jira Cloud for Sheets app', which allow access from Google app server.

Google or Microsoft: Provides list of their IP addresses for app server. Then I can add them to the IP restriction list.

            Thanks in advance,

            Note on CSV download:

A workaround would be export to CSV file using menu : Export issues > Export Excel CSV (all fields).

But, you should know that "all fields" means really all fields. My CSV file has 144 columns

How do I edit it in short time? So, practically this is not a workaround.

We do use Whitelisting on our Jira Cloud, and impacted by this bug. Here are some more details in different configurations

            Just our own IPs whitelisted

Once I export data from browser then receive an error message "403 Client error"

Add additional IPs provided by Atlassian Support into our IP Whitelist

Export data from browser- works fine

Start Excel and try to authenticate in Jira Cloud to initiate import process from Excel is not working- I was able to successfully complete authentication process in browser, but then Excel still tries to authenticate once again (still on the step "Get Started")
