Issue Summary
Prompt text entered in multibyte characters(using Japanese IME) for JSM Virtual Service Agent automatically gets sent
Steps to Reproduce
(Note: You need Japanese keyboard for this. Go to setting and add Japanese input.)
- Access JSM Virtual Service Agent from customer portal (Help Center > Portal > Chat with virtual service agent) and start typing in multibyte character such as Japanese.
- Enter multibyte text in prompt field such as "てすと" ( you can type this in by hitting "tesuto")
- Select suggested conversion "テスト" and hit enter.
- Verify the entered text "テスト" will be automatically get sent even though the enter was for language conversion.
Reproducible on Google chrome, but not reproducible on Firefox.
Expected Results
Entered text remains as is converted. It should stay in the prompt field.
Actual Results
Entered text will be automatically gets sent to the Virtual Service Agent, and the Agent start forming its answer.
Workaround
Currently there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available.
Write prompt text in text editor and copy paste it to the VSA chat.
