Please bring back the repository treeview. This is an important feature that I use all the time. With the current 2.x implementation, even if I click on the plus button to switch to other repositories, I can't see which ones have uncommitted changes. That defeats the whole purpose I am using SourceTree. At least I request that this be made an option for advanced users.

Our work uses many repositories simultaneously in the same project. Often there are changes to be checked in for multiple repositories. To see what repositories need check-ins made, I look at SourceTree. Without this feature my work becomes MUCH harder. I have to downgrade to 1.x until this feature is re-implemented in SourceTree.

I'm writing with regards to 3.2.6.

It is puzzling why Local Repositories, the sidebar in question, must sit on the right instead of the left.

Isn't the idea to go from big picture to small details, i.e. left to right?

Now, my mouse has to travel extensively across the width of a large size monitor just to switch to other repos.

At least make it configurable please. Thank you.

@brian ganninger You really assume most software engineers have a choice of which software to use?

maximatorr1161145316 You are welcome to file a new ticket with a rational, well reasoned explanation of what features you feel are still missing in the 3.1 series of Sourcetree for Windows. Ad hominem arguments towards the development team - who are people just like you - are not going to get you very far. If you are that dissatisfied I recommend using a different client that doesn't bother you as much.

            I`m just curious.

Do you fired all your coders and forces your cleaners under the threat of torture to develop a side bar? why it looks so lame? do you need another two years to develop a splitter and layout serialization and add to fucking side bar three fucking Add, Remove, Clone buttons? Is it so hard for whose retards that design and implement this shit?

            Received this AM:

Sourcetree for Windows 3.1.0-beta-2899 is now available.
After a quiet period following the 3.0.x releases, we're pleased to give you access to the next major update.
Alongside a whole heap of bug fixes is a significant UI change. 3.1 marks the return, in new form, of the repository sidebar. Following on from the community discussion and earlier alpha we now have a production version and what we sincerely hope will be a useful new tool for you all.

            Seems to work as expected.

            Hi folks,

We're sorry for the lack of transparency around one of our top requests, changes are already underway to improve our communication. Today we published a blog post previewing Sourcetree for Windows 2019 which includes a modern version of the sidebar we think you'll love. We also recently shared a build with our Sourcetree Beta Program. We humbly ask that you take a moment to make sure we're meeting your needs and provide constructive feedback to the team via the new discussion on Community.

            Thanks,

            Brian Ganninger

I gave up on SourceTree ever since they dropped its most useful feature...the tree.  After testing various apps I've since switched to SmartGit for both at work and home and absolutely love it.  It's the only one I could find that checks all the boxes and I've not had any issues with (or seen any bugs).  Has a great implementation of a treeview for repos where you can mark favorites for ones you want regularly checked for updates.  Putting this here for those that have gotten frustrated and haven't had luck finding an alternative.
