Summary
Currently, the ability to restrict Rovo features (Chat, Search, Agents) to specific user groups is only available on the Enterprise plan via the Rovo Access page in Atlassian Administration. Customers on Standard and Premium plans can only block Rovo at the app level (all users or no users for a given app), but cannot scope Rovo access to specific groups or users.
This creates a gap for organizations that want to enable Rovo selectively, for example, limiting it to internal employees while excluding external collaborators, contractors, or users from specific email domains.
Enhancement
Extend the group-based access control functionality (allowlist/blocklist by user group) currently available on the Enterprise plan to Standard and Premium plans. This would allow organization admins to:
- Enable Rovo features only for specific user groups (e.g., a group containing only users with a particular email domain).
- Block specific groups from accessing Rovo features while keeping it available for others.
- Perform phased rollouts without requiring an Enterprise upgrade.
This enhancement would give admins on all paid plans the governance controls needed to align Rovo adoption with their organization's security, compliance, and change management requirements.
